MY FAVOURITE MAKEUP

It has been a long ass time since i have done a blog post. I have basically been working all summer but i head back to London next week for my second year of uni where i am 100% more focussed so will hopefully have time to post way more

I decided to do my everyday makeup using my current favourite makeup products. I'm obsessed with all of these products.

My favourite primer for a long ass time now has been the Maybelline Superstay Primer because i have the a BP oil spill happening on my face everyday but this primer, along with the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation they work amazingly to keep my face looking fresh all day. The foundation has amazing coverage and is a great match for my fake tan. For concealer i really like the Smashbox Studio Skin and then i've been setting it in place with the yellow shade from the Revlon Contour & Highlight palette that Chloe Morello helped to create (which is also such a great product). I then use the Chanel Solei Tan De Chanel to cream contour/ bronze.

To powder i've been loving the Kiko powder foundation, to bronze i'm back to liking the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess and for blush i love the Milani blush in Berry Amore. The highlighter is the most exciting- i am wearing the Dose of Colours X Desi & Katy Fuego highlighter in my inner corners, nose and cupid's bow and the Mírame highlighter on my cheekbones and temples.

Charlotte Tilbury Legendary brows is an essential for me because my brows are so blonde, for a more natural brow look i really like the Anastasia brow powder duo. I've been wearing the same Soap & Glory Supercat Liner and Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara.

I lastly like to roughly apply MAC Whirl Lip Liner and Velvet Teddy lipstick and blend it in with my finger.

IS IT WORTH IT? • THE BEAUTY BLENDER

This is a new little "series" that I really want to start on my blog. I used to do specific product reviews all the time but I don't do it so much anymore, so I decided that to encourage me to do it more I'll start this little series. If there's a product that's more expensive or super hyped up, I'll share my opinion and tell you whether I think something is worth it or not.

So even though every beauty YouTuber I watched always raved about the Beauty Blender, I always decided against buying it and always favoured just getting one of the many cheaper alternatives.  I've tried so many beauty sponges from Real Techniques to M&S however when a teeny little BB stand arrived my in local Boots I picked one up and said to my boyfriend that I didn't understand the price tag but I really wanted to try one.

As this was the day before my birthday my boyfriend very kindly bought me one as a little add- on present. So I was obviously very excited to try it and when I did....

Game.

Changed.

The texture of the real Beauty Blender is completely different to any other sponge that I've ever tried, and for some reason it makes every foundation look amazing. It makes every foundation look as good as it can and whenever I start applying my foundation with a brush, i have to switch back over. It feels much less dense than any other that I've tried and it a lot softer than the Real Techniques ones and overall performs sooo much better.

I have applied my foundation and concealer with a brush maybe 1 or 2 times if I've been in a rush to get ready or something but literally that's it. I'm also yet to find a foundation or concealer that doesn't work with it.

I ofcourse use the BB wet but sometimes I like to spray it with a facial spray instead of water and it has a really great finish. If I want my foundation to last the longest possible, or if it's a foundation that doesn't always last the longest on my skin, I'll spray the Urban Decay De- Slick spray so that it works in with the foundation to give the longest lasting base possible.

100% worth it, if you wear foundation you NEED it!

• BERRY SMOKEY EYE GLAM MAKEUP •

The next glam look I wanted to create is using one of my favourite eyeshadows ever. It suits everyone I've ever put it on, hope you like it!

For primer I'm going to use my favourite highstreet one which is the Rimmel Stay Matte, it's not siliconey or too slippery which I usually hate with primers and it really works to make my makeup last all day with my super oily skin. For foundation I'm using the EX1 Invisiwear foundation with a flat foundation brush (for fuller coverage) which I also love because it is inexpensive but it also has a yellow undertone which is extremely hard to find in cheaper foundations. Pink foundation look really silly on me and never match my neck or body correctly, even when I'm not fake tanned. For concealer I was really lucky to receive the Tarte Shape Tape for Christmas and it's super full coverage and amazing and to add dimension I cream contour with the Anastasia Cream Contour Kit. I then bake my undereyes and (most of) my face as always with the Coty Airspun Translucent Powder and then set the rest of my face by patting in the bake and applying a tiny bit of the L'Oreal Infallible powder

For brows I always start by applying a gel to give fullness and texture to the brows before i fill them in and (since I've ran out of my Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows and my new one hasn't arrived yet) I then used one of my favourite brow products ever, the Anastasia Dip Brow pomade and then I add the Anastasia Brow Powder Duo to darken them up as the dip brow in my new hair colour shade hasn't arrived yet.

The bronzer I'm obsessed with at the moment is the L'Oreal Glam Bronze, I think this makes me look so much healthier and it blends onto the skin beautifully. I used the Nars Illusive blush which came in a palette that i received for Christmas as well and then for one of my favourite steps of highlighter, I used the Anastasia That Glow Kit and I mix the three lightest shades for my cheekbones, inner corner, nose and cupid's bow and then I normally use the bronze shade for on my chest to tie everything together nicely.

To start on the eyes I always use the Urban Decay Eden Primer Potion and then I set that down with Pre- Game from the Urban Decay Ultimate Basics palette which I then use to start the look by blending some of the lighter browns into the crease. The main colour that I use all over the lid is one of my all time favourite eyeshadows which is from the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette in the shade 'Freshly Toasted' (very similar to Sienna from Anastasia). I add that into the crease first for a smokier transition and then I pack it all over the lid and under the eyes. I then of course add a winged liner with the Soap & Glory Supercat liner which I could never be without and then I added a bit of Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. To finish off the eyes I added my favourite lashes ever which are the House Of Lashes 'Iconic'.

For the lip I started with the Barry M Lip liner in number 15 and then I added a small amount of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in shade 'Toulouse'.

Hope you liked this look.

MAUVE HALO VALENTINES DAY MAKEUP ♥

I recently bought the Carli Bybel x BH Cosmetics palette when it dropped on BeautyBay and I've been loving it. I also thought as Valentine's Day is coming up this palette would be perfect for the occasion. I also really love creating these glam looks as I don't really do them very often on myself.

As I started creating the look, it turned into me trying out a 'halo' effect eye which I ended up loving. This look is very extra, doing the most kinda look and I'm obsessed.

I started with the NARS Primer and then for foundation I used my Beauty Blender to apply the L'Oreal Infallible Matte foundation which I lovee. For concealer and to highlight I used the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer and then to cream contour I used the Smashbox contour stick which is the creamiest contour product ever. I then baked my face as always with the Coty Airspun loose powder before I went onto the eyes, this is so I could easily wipe away any falldown from the eyeshadow.

I started the eyes by applying the Urban Decay Eden primer potion, and then I set it with 'Pre Game' from the Urban Decay Ultimate Basics palette. I then started by blending a mixture of Commando, Tempted and Instinct through the crease for a nice transition. I then of course took the Carli Bybel palette: I first added the lighter of the mauve shades through the crease, I then added the dark mauve shade into the outer V and the inner corner to create a 'halo' effect that I've been seeing heaps on Instagram recently. I worked on the halo effect lots and blended loads before spraying a flat brush with the Mario Badescu rose water and then dipping the brush firmly into the second lightest shade which is a beautiful shimmery pink shade to get the best colour payoff.

I then added a winged liner with the Soap & Glory supercat liner and then I added the L'Oreal Volume Million feline mascara before adding the House of Lashes Iconics. These are super glam and extra and I love it.

I added a really small amount of counter with Java from the Anastasia Contour Kit and then I bronzed with my favourite bronzer at the moment, the L'oreal Glam Bronze. For blush I used a really beautiful mauve shade from NARS called 'Illusive'. I then added LOTS of the two lightest highlight shades from the Carli Bybel palette to the tip and the bridge of the nose, the cheekbones, cupids bow and the inner corners of the eyes.

For the lips I used the L'Oreal Beige a nu lip liner and the Tanya Burr Lip gloss in Lunch Date.

Hope you like this look and have a great Valentines Day

• JANUARY AFFORDABLE EVERYDAY MAKEUP •

The first makeup look of the new year is here! For my January (also known as, "no money month") I decided that I wanted to use all high street makeup in honour of no money month. For the people who didn't get loads of makeup for Christmas or don't have the money to spend on expensive makeup because of Christmas.

The feels of January led me to spend £50 in Boots the other day to try and make myself feel a bit better. I'm a student and therefore I can't really spend money on myself very often anymore. Butttt I also wanted to do this post because I have been soo impressed with some of the things I picked up.

Hopefully this will be useful.

• PRODUCTS •

One of my favourite drugstore primers is the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer, I think it's the best cheaper one I've tried. Then I decided on the Revlon Colourstay foundation, recently I've been loving the L'Oreal Infallible 24 hr one but due to the winter making my skin quite a bit dryer, I prefer the finish of the Revlon one this time of year.
I also loovee the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer and the NYX Foundation Stick to cream contour (they have loads of shades that will work for most skin tones). To bake I use the Rimmel Match Perfection loose powder and then I set the rest of my face using the L'Oreal Infallible powder.

For bronzer I've been obsessed with the L'Oreal Glam Bronze, for highlighter I used the Colourpop SuperShock Cheek in Spoon and then for blush I used Revlon Mauvalous blush.

For brows I used the Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil and then the Tanya Burr Perfect Brows kit which I love and i also used for the eyes. I used Pebble from the kit in the crease, Chestnut along the lash line and Fairy Cake under the brow bone and in the inner corner. I lined my eyes using the L'Oreal Super Liner and then I've been using the L'Oreal Volume Million Feline Mascara which I really like because it keeps the lashes looking curly and black all day.

For the lips I used the L'Oreal Beige A Nu lip liner and then i recently bought a set of the NYX Soft Matte Lip creams that I've been super impressed with- this is the colour Toulouse.

GOING OUT OUT • BRONZEY MAKEUP LOOK ON ALICIA •

Today's look is a super glam bronze look that I did on my gorgeous housemate Alicia.

I started the face by applying the L'Oreal Infallible primer to make the the foundation go on smoothly. I then mixed the L'oreal Infallible matte foundation and the EX1 Invisiwear foundation to get the perfect shade for Alicia's skin, I then concealed and highlighted with a mixture of the L'Oreal True Match and the Maybelline Fit Me concealers. I then cream contoured using a mixture of the LA Girl Pro concealer in Beautiful Bronze and the NYX Foundation Stick. I baked the areas where I applied the highlighting concealer with the Coty Airspun loose powder, and then I set the rest of the face with the L'oreal Infallible powder

To finish the face I used the Too Faced Chocolate Solei bronzer, the Benefit Rocketeur blush and then highlighted the cheekbones, tip of the nose and the inner corners of the eyes with the Anastasia Glow Kit and The Balm Mary Lou highlighter.

For the brows I started with the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows and then the Benefit Precisely, My Brow pencil

I started the eyes by using the Urban Decay Eden eye primer and then I used some of the taupe and the purple toned shades from the Urban Decay Ultimate Basics palette, I started the bronzey lid with the Bobbi Brown long- wear shadow stick in Golden Bronze, i then packed Radar from the Urban Decay Naked Smokey palette and then the Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Nillionaire. I then added a winged liner with the Maybelline Gel Liner and then I added some Demi Wispies

I lined the lips using the L'Oreal Lip liner in Beige A Nu and then I added the Tanya Burr Lip Gloss in Lunch Date.

Hope you liked this look.

• CRANBERRY SMOKEY EYE •

So, one of the best times of the year is rapidly approaching. It feels like i started uni about 5 minutes ago and suddenly i'm chatting to my boyfriend about me coming home for Christmas.

So as the time of Christmas parties and such is coming, I've decided that I want to create some makeup looks that are perfect for this time of year. I also want to do this because the makeup looks I tend to do normally can be quite repetitive due to me wearing the same makeup everyday. So this will bring more glam makeup looks to my blog. Hope you like my first look in this series.

PRODUCTS USED:

So i started by priming the face, today I used Benefit Porefessional but any primer that you like will do. For foundation, i used the L'Oreal Infallible matte and then I cream contoured using the LA Girl Pro concealer in shades Medium Bisque and Beautiful Bronze. I concealed and slightly highlighted my face using Maybelline Age Rewind. As always, to bake my face i used the Coty Airspun loose powder and then to set the rest of my face I used the Maybelline Matte Maker powder
For bronzer I used Nars Laguna Bronzer, I then highlighted using the Nars Copacabana multiple and then over the cheeks as a blush I used the Nars Orgasm cream illuminator.

As normal, I started with Charlotte Tilbury legendary brows for my brow gel, then Anastasia Brow Wiz and then Bobbi Brown Fog eyeshadow.

For the eyes i started by priming them using the Urban Decay primer potion / Eden and then setting that with a white eyeshadow so that everything blends out nicely over top. For the eye shadow, the main palette i used was the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette. I started by softly blending Substitute for Love and Freshly Toasted into the crease and slightly over the lid and then i packed Warm Notes over the lid and tried to make it as opaque as possible. I then added Pure Ganache into the first part of the lid and a really small amount of Beans are White along the upper lash line for a bit more dimension. To add a bit more intensity onto the lid i used the Colourpop Ultra Shock Shadow in Sequin which is a very similar to the colour i already used, so you could skip this step.
I then added a winged liner using Maybelline Gel Liner and a small angled brush and then I layered my mascara as per usual. I started with Benefit Roller Lash, then Too Faced Better Than Sex and finally, Maybelline Lash Sensational

On the lips I used L'Oreal Beige A Nu lip liner and then the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss in Rose and Shine.

AUTUMN BERRY- LIP MAKEUP.

Autumn is my favourite time of year for many many reasons. The fashion and makeup trends that arise this time of year always just do it for me. When i think of a timeless, autumn makeup look, this is the type of look that i love. I went for a berry, pink- toned lip with a red- toned smokey eye for which I used only one eyeshadow.

I started with the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer to prep the skin. I love this primer and foundation sits beautifully on top of it because of how silky it makes the skin. For foundation I applied one of my all- time faves, Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation mixed in with a tiny bit of the Benefit Dew the Hoola liquid bronzer. This is because I got a new fake tan, got a bit carried away and now my darkest foundation doesn't match me anymore. To brighten the under- eye area and the centre of the face I mixed the Nars Radiant Creamy and the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealers. And then I of course baked these areas of my face with the Coty Airspun Translucent powder to set it all in place. To set the rest of my face I used the Maybelline Matte Maker Powder, then to contour I used the Too Faced Chocolate bronzer and to bronze the face I used the Urban Decay Beached Bronzer in bronzed. For highlight I used the Anastasia Glow Kit in That Glow, and then I skipped blush because I felt that another pink or berry colour might be too much.

(Brace yourselves for my 50 million- step brow routine).

For my brows I started with the Benefit Gimme Brow as per usual and then I used a mixture of the Benefit Goof Proof and the Precisely, My brow pencils to create a really nice shape. To darken my brows I used Anastasia medium Brow Powder Duo and then finally I add texture and set them in place with the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brow Pencil.

For my eyes I started with the Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer and then I set above the crease with white eyeshadow to make sure my eyeshadow blends out really well. I only used one eyeshadow for this look which is the shade Freshly Toasted from the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette. I just applied it, concentrating it closer to my lash line so that when I blended it upwards it didn't go too high. I also put some under my lower lash line as well. I did a winged liner as always using the L'Oreal Super Liner and then I used a few different mascaras to build my lashes up nicely which I always do. My favourites are Benefit Roller Lash, Too Faced Better Than Sex and Maybelline Lash Sensational

For the lips, the main colour I used was the Barry M lip liner in 15 and then I added the tiniest amount of the Rimmel Exaggerate lip liner in Obsession to the corner of my lips to add some dimension.

Hope you love this look as much as I do.
