Top 5 Tuesday: Drugstore Concealer.

I'm obsessed with trying new concealers and I love when I find a great one from the drugstore. Sometimes I find that cheaper alternatives can work just as well as their luxury rivals, especially when used with the correct tools.

I like to use the real techniques contour brush but my favourite way to blend it in is to spray a beauty blender with the MUA pro base fixing mist and blend it out that way, it creates an amazing and flawless look and I've been loving using it.

There's a classic one that I have left out which is Collection Lasting Perfection concealer; I've left it out because it's an obvious one that everyone loves and I depotted it so I don't have it in the original packaging.

The first concealer is the Maybelline Eraser concealer, as you can tell I have used A LOT of this and as soon as it runs out I will definitely re purchase it. I find it to have a really decent amount of coverage but still look really natural. It's also a really great highlighter for a less intense version of the Kim K highlight.

I bought the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer whilst I was on holiday in Scotland in October last year, I remember when I first used it to touch up my makeup before filming a video. I was instantly so impressed at the creamy, high coverage formula- it made my skin look amazing!

I used to use the Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Concealer every single day in summer. The reason I only tend to use it in summer is that there isn't a large colour range at all so even the lightest shade isn't that light at all. However if you find a shade that suits you the formula is sooo good! It's very creamy and is amazing on dark under- eye circles. I would recommend this concealer for anyone... Other than those with pale skin.

Soap & Glory Kick Ass is one of the more famous drugstore concealers out there, and a lot of people love it. This is a great one for the handbag as it comes with two concealer shades, a setting powder and a mirror. Having two shades in the palette is great too because one of the shades has a pink undertone that works for dark circles and the other has a yellow undertone which is great for blemishes on the face. This means you don't need two in your makeup bag.

I thought I would include an old classic- Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer is one that one that I like to wear when I don't want to wear foundation. It's not as full coverage but I like this look for the spring time when a flawless face isn't as important. It creates a very naturally pretty and fresh looking base which I love now and again.

So I hope you enjoyed this little run down of my fave concealers from the drugstore, thanks so much for reading.

  2. I was pretty impressed with the Maybelline Age Eraser. I liked Fit Me a little less as the shade was pretty off for me! The Soap and Glory is a fab alternative to Benefit's Erase Paste xx
