July favourites 2014.

So, we're already midway through summer and I've still done nothing exciting. That's positive isn't it?

This month when I got paid i decided to do an asos order (haul on my channel) so I couldn't buy any new makeup or skincare until I got paid again at the end of the month. There's a few very recent purchases but some stood out to me a lot which is why I've included them. However most of the purchases I made will be featured in next months favourites.

This month I've noticed my benefit POREfessional primer beginning to look a little bit empty *cries* and as it's my favourite primer and therefore don't want to use it up, I've been wearing angthing else I can find in my draw. I found myself reaching for the Clinque Superprimer because the texture is quite comparable. Eventhough I would still 100% recommend the Benefit one, the Clinque primer has been satisfying me just fine this month.
One morning when I opened my foundation draw, I looked in the mirror and noticed that my skin looked and felt really dry and dull. I didn't want to wear something like Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation because I know that it only lasts about an hour on my skin before ending up on the floor because of the oil, so I opted for Revlon Nearly Naked (applied with fingers because all my brushes were dirty- are still dirty) and I was really pleasantly supprised at how nice it made my skin look and feel.

Eventhough this is only a very recent purchase, I thought I would include it because I've been really impressed with it. I've seen many people rave about the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer (you know the one with the sponge on the top) and I just decided to pick it up one day. Concealer is something that I never normally branch out on but I'm so glad I did. Last week I worked in a trailer so had to get up super early (4:30am- everyone applaud me for managing it) and this product was so quick and easy; I just did a few swipes, mainly under my eyes (duh) and then blended it with a Real Techniques contour brush. It looked great all day; even after I had an accident with the hose when attempting to get water. I'd really recommend this product and I've already persuaded my mum to get it too. It doesn't crease at all, unlike the other maybelline concealer that I also love.

Another recent purchase but the NYC smooth skin sunny Bronzer is raved about so much on YouTube/ blogs and I can totally see why. When I couldn't find the Bronzers that I was looking to buy (sleek and bourjois) I went over to the NYC stand (previously I thought I couldn't get the sunny bronzer) and picked it up for only £1.99. What I love most about this product is that it doesnt make you look orange but it also doesn't take ages to build up- it's very smooth and finely milled so is great to apply.

Soap & Glory is one of my favourite brands and I always love to have a look at the counter whenever I'm in boots. When I last went in they had a 3 for 2 deal (or something like that) so I picked up the Sexy Motherpucker 3d gloss stick in Nudist; I've heard so much about this on YouTube and it did not disappoint. It's very glossy and moisturizing and the colour is such a pretty nude.

My music favourites for this month have been Jake Bugg; I think his voice is so cool and amazing- a few of my favourite songs are Messed up Kids, All Your Reasons and Song About Love. I have also been absolutely in love with George Ezra (like everyone else on the planet); his new album is on point and every song is amazing. I've done a few covers of some of his songs on my music channel on YouTube.

I thought I'd add in a food favourite because it's something that I've been obsessed with, eventhough it's very simple. For my lunch most days I have been cooking (on the hob) corgette (or Zukini if you're not from the UK) and seasoning it with salt, pepper and mixed herbs- it's very healthy and very delicious. I like whatever I eat to be near- burnt but you can cook it for as long as you want.

I also have been obsessed with making healthy smoothies for breakfast. I'm thinking of doing a few posts about the healthy meals/ snacks that I've been making so let me know if that is something you'd like to see.

Thanks for reading
